The best garments already exist
Handover Copenhagen is a curated vintage and secondhand store with locations in Oslo and Heggedal. We travel, seek, and handpick every single object. Our vision is built on the belief that sustainable fashion is as aesthetic as it is responsible. Through uncompromising curation, we highlight timeless craftsmanship, natural materials, and unique silhouettes. A tribute to garments with history and an invitation to a more conscious wardrobe.

What we believe in.
Curation
We never choose for the sake of quantity. Every vintage and secondhand piece is assessed individually – for quality, character and longevity. Only the best earns a place in our curated collection.
Sustainability
Vintage isn't a trend for us – it's a conviction. Giving clothes a new life is the most sustainable form of fashion, and our answer to an industry that produces too much.
Craftsmanship
We look for garments made to last, with a natural preference for wool, silk, leather and other materials that age with grace. The seams, the fabric, the construction – the details tell the story. That's why handpicked vintage endures where fast fashion falls apart.
The Sourcing Process
Collect
We handpick all garments. This process demands a considerable part of our time, but we value and prioritise it to ensure a selection of high quality. We look for garments in natural materials — wool, silk, leather, cotton — with the potential for a long circular lifespan and trend value that align with Handover's style and DNA.
Clean & Care
All garments are cleaned and checked for flaws or defects. If possible, we repair the garment in our hands. With more difficult faults, we donate the garments to mending profiles or charities.
Curate
We aim to make vintage shopping easy and inspiring. Therefore, we curate the selected garments in smaller Capsule Collections. This means collecting pieces where style, colour and season fit together – almost like a custom wardrobe. Meanwhile, all items off-season are safely stored until the following season change. This way, you can be sure to be offered only current garments, while the off-season pieces never go to waste.

Andrea Mouritzen.
With a background as a photo stylist and Art Director, Andrea has built Handover with care and a genuine love for vintage. Drawing on her experience from commercial retail, she has created a modern alternative to the traditionally cluttered second-hand store. The goal is a concept that is clean, airy, and intuitive. An experience designed to compete directly with contemporary high-street retail.
For Andrea, sustainable fashion is not about sacrificing style, but about discovering the treasures that already exist. Understanding the true cost of transient fashion opens up a more meaningful way to build a wardrobe. Through Handover, she seeks to restore respect for the individual garment. Vintage is the antithesis of a micro-trend. These are pieces often created with time-consuming details and a construction meant to endure.
This is also an invitation to a shift in mindset and an exercise in seeing the beauty in imperfection. A leather jacket with a distinct patina is not necessarily a worn-out item, but a garment with history and character. Every single garment passes through Andrea’s hands. Everything that finds its way to the rack is a conscious choice. An object that deserves a longer life.
“I seek to restore respect for the individual garment.”
